Demo videos of the Telescope-Manager Specification System. We've been operational for a year, but are still constantly upgrading so some of the demo material may be a bit raw or slow. It shows the current status of the software.
If you're at SPIE, please make sure you are connected to WIFI, as the movies are ~100 MB each.
Data Quality Assessment Workflow
This video goes through the different steps. First the operator of the day will write the report. They can link with known system issues (or take this opportunity to create them). Then the science data centre operator (support scientist) linked to the project get's automatically assigned. I re-assign this to myself for this demo. After the support scientist the reports goes to the PI for acceptance and is finally accepted by the observatory. After this management task like data ingest (usually automatically done already) or data removal (usually automatically done already) can be started. In the end we see the scheduling unit status change to finished because the data cleanup has been performed.

Timeline / Calendar overview
This video shows the timeline with a color indication of status of tasks, so it's easy to see the progress and which still need operator attention. A sidepanel provides more information about our scheduling units / scheduling blocks. We also show a view on a station basis (LOFAR has 52 individual stations) and you can see station reservations that have been automatically removed from the observations.

This movie shows the scheduling unit and how it is defined by a few paramaters and the scheduling constraints. We also show an observation task that has a full specification and the parset specification that is used by the station and correlator processes.

Here are some older demo videos. TMSS has changed since then but the basic principles are still the same.
